Roderick
Beesley has had almost 40 years of experience with the Alexander
Technique – 34 of which as a teacher of the work!
In
1966 Roderick Beesley had an extended series of Alexander
lessons with Patrick McDonald. The following year he had
further lessons and joined Walter Carrington’s teacher
training course at Lansdowne Road in London in September
1967. Both McDonald and Carrington had themselves been trained
by F. M. Alexander himself. Beesley qualified as an Alexander
Technique teacher in 1970, and he has been teaching ever
since.
Since
qualifying he has taught the technique in Denmark, Sweden,
France, Germany and the UK. He has worked extensively on
many major opera and theatre productions in Sweden and Germany
and with a great number of singers and musicians.
